GAS by Non-Penile Inversion Technique in a Patient with Vitiligo

Successful Gender Affirming Surgery for a Vitiligo Patient: A Case Study

Understanding the Case:

Vitiligo is a chronic autoimmune disorder that causes patches of skin to lose pigment or color. This happens when melanocytes – skin cells that make pigment – are attacked and destroyed, causing the skin to turn a milky-white color.
There are usually no other symptoms, but it can significantly affect mood and self-esteem.
Our patient has vitiligo on her perineal and scrotal skin and is concerned if the existing white patch of skin may affect the result of GAS surgery or not.
In this case, the results from Dr. Chettawut Tulayaphanich of the gender-affirming surgery are remarkable, showcasing not only the aesthetic aspect of transformation but also the power of advanced surgical methods by non-penile inversion technique.

Results and Conclusion:

This successful transformation demonstrates that, even in challenging cases, excellent results can be achieved. The technique has proven to be a game-changer for patients with similar conditions.
