Surgical technique: Placing implants under the muscle using endoscopic surgery, with scars hidden in the armpit.
At WIH International Hospital in Thailand, we proudly offer Motiva JOY Ergonomix™ — state-of-the-art breast implants designed for a natural look and feel. Equipped with Q Inside® Safety Technology, these implants provide enhanced security, comfort, and seamless body movement adaptation. Whether you’re looking for aesthetic improvement or gender-affirming surgery, Motiva JOY delivers results that move with you, naturally.
Patients can choose from 3 main incision options:
Inframammary Incision (under-breast fold, approx. 2-3 cm)
✓ Allows precise implant positioning
✓ Enables accurate Dual Plane placement
Transaxillary Incision (hidden in the armpit fold, approx. 2-3 cm)
✓ No visible scars on the breasts
✓ Requires endoscopic assistance for precise placement
Periareolar Incision (lower edge of the areola)
✓ Not suitable for patients with small areolas
✓ Ideal for subglandular placement or capsular contracture correction
At WIH Hospital, our plastic surgery team, led by Dr. Chetthasak Tulayapanich (Dr. Chet), specializes in breast augmentation using the endoscopic transaxillary approach—a method that avoids visible scarring on the breasts.
By inserting the implant through a small incision hidden in the underarm and using an endoscope (a surgical camera), our surgeons are able to place the implant with precision comparable to the traditional inframammary incision technique.
The result is a beautiful, well-balanced, and natural breast shape, with no visible scars on the chest, making it an ideal option for those who value privacy and want to avoid any long-term surgical marks on their breasts.
This technique is becoming increasingly popular, especially among Chinese and Asian patients, who prioritize a seamless, natural appearance and do not want any visible signs of surgery.
The Dual Plane technique is a modification of traditional breast augmentation approaches. It combines elements of both sub-mammary augmentation (placing the implant beneath the breast tissue) and sub-muscular augmentation (placing the implant beneath the chest muscle).
What makes this technique advantageous is the way it uses the fan-shaped pectoralis major muscle. During surgery, the muscle is partially lifted and repositioned to act like a “curtain” that covers only the upper portion of the implant. This allows the lower part of the implant to project more prominently than the upper part, creating a naturally curved breast contour.
Dual Plane augmentation not only enhances breast size but also provides a natural-looking shape that complements each person’s anatomy. It offers subtle, smooth recovery with impressive and worthwhile results.
Among the various types of Dual Plane techniques, the most commonly used is Type II. This variation allows for good expansion of the lower breast, while maintaining softness and natural coverage over the upper implant. It is suitable for most women, especially those with mild to moderate breast sagging.
Type III Dual Plane is ideal for cases with moderate to significant breast ptosis (sagging)—where the sagging is visible but not yet severe enough to require a mastopexy (breast lift).
At WIH Hospital, our highly experienced surgical team uses a specialized technique to achieve beautifully enhanced breasts that are:
“Closer together, naturally shaped, and aesthetically balanced.”
If you are looking for breast implants that offer softness, natural aesthetics, and long-term safety, Motiva JOY is the choice that meets all your needs.
Motiva JOY is the latest innovation from Motiva, developed with advanced Ergonomix™ technology. This allows the implants to adapt to body movements, maintaining a natural appearance whether standing, sitting, or lying down. Compared to the previous Ergonomix™ model, Motiva JOY provides a shape that adjusts to gravity about 10-15% more effectively, creating the most natural teardrop-like appearance.
Another key feature of Motiva JOY is its superior softness and enhanced protection against capsular contracture, which is a major cause of implant hardening. This makes it an excellent choice for those seeking top-tier quality and long-term confidence.
Motiva JOY delivers an unparalleled soft feel due to its latest-generation gel, ProgressiveGel Ultima™. The surface is designed with SmoothSilk® technology, offering an exceptionally smooth texture that closely mimics natural breast tissue.
WIH Hospital is one of the few private hospitals in Thailand officially recognized as a Motiva JOY Partner.
Patients who undergo breast augmentation with Motiva JOY implants will be registered through the official application to receive benefits under the Joy Programme, which offers a lifetime warranty on the implants.
In case of implant rupture or leakage, the programme covers replacement implant costs as well as revision surgery at no additional charge.
